About the role
The Business Development Manager – Outbound Channel will drive the acquisition and onboarding of large Indian brands, manufacturers and export houses onto Walmart’s cross‑border marketplace. You will guide sellers through launch, adoption of key levers and growth acceleration, while maintaining strong relationships across the e‑commerce ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute a category‑specific recruitment strategy based on competitive analysis and seller portfolio insights.
- Identify, recruit and onboard new sellers to meet aggressive growth targets.
- Support sellers’ launch and sales growth on Walmart by promoting key product adoption and input levers.
- Track, analyze and report personal and team KPIs, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Walmart to align short‑term and long‑term business goals.
- Lead programs to improve seller onboarding experience and team effectiveness.
Required profile
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree.
- 5+ years of business development or account management experience, with a focus on client recruitment and management.
- 2+ years of experience in the e‑commerce industry.
- Proven ability to conduct independent analysis and solve complex problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language.
- Demonstrated capability to influence strategic sellers and brands at CXO level.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong data analysis abilities.
