About the role
The Associate Corporate Counsel will support litigation teams handling labor, employment, and real‑estate disputes across India. The role involves case management, legal research, drafting court documents, and coordinating with external counsel to ensure effective representation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and supervise civil, labor, and criminal litigation in courts, tribunals, and law‑enforcement agencies.
- Review case facts, analyze applicable laws, track timelines, and maintain accurate case records.
- Draft, review, and vet pleadings, affidavits, legal notices, and other court documents.
- Prepare briefing materials and instructions for outside counsel ahead of hearings and trials.
- Coordinate with external law firms and consultants, brief them on strategy, and monitor performance.
- Represent the company before courts, tribunals, regulators, and quasi‑judicial bodies where permitted.
- Support preparation for hearings, trials, settlement negotiations, mediation, and arbitration.
- Provide strategic legal advice to business, HR, and operations on litigation risk and dispute avoidance.
- Assist in internal investigations, regulatory inquiries, and fulfill company secretarial compliance duties.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of litigation experience.
- Experience in both corporate law firms and in‑house legal departments.
- Qualified Company Secretary and LL.B/LL.M from a recognized university.
