Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports daily operations across Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laundry at JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru. This entry‑level management position ensures guest rooms and public areas are clean, inspected and maintained to the brand’s standards while helping to control budgets and supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate room cleaning assignments, check‑outs and discharges, and communicate room status to the Front Desk.
• Maintain inventory of linens, guest supplies and housekeeping equipment, ordering as needed.
• Oversee lost‑and‑found procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and loss‑prevention policies.
• Work closely with Engineering to address maintenance issues in guest rooms.
• Supervise inspections of guestrooms and public spaces, providing feedback and corrective actions.
• Act as the interim supervisor for Housekeeping in the absence of the Director of Services or Housekeeping Manager.
• Handle guest complaints, review comment cards and promote exceptional customer service.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of housekeeping experience, **or** a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, budgeting and inventory control.
• Ability to work collaboratively with front‑desk, engineering and other hotel departments.
• Commitment to guest satisfaction and adherence to safety regulations.
