About the role
The Area Sales Executive will be responsible for driving secondary sales across a defined territory, managing relationships with wholesalers, retailers and channel partners. You will act as the commercial bridge between the field team and Britannia’s internal functions to ensure market objectives are met.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve secondary sales targets and set objectives for Area Workers (AW) and Area Wholesale Sales Managers (AWSM).
- Communicate targets, track progress and provide regular performance updates.
- Motivate and support AWs, ensuring they have the necessary infrastructure and systems.
- Coach, train and evaluate AWSM on best practices, sales call processes and performance metrics.
- Maintain and grow dealer relationships, increase depth and width per dealer, and prospect new outlets.
- Execute visibility, merchandising and promotional activities as directed by the ASM.
- Launch new consumer promotions, trade schemes and products, ensuring proper communication and sampling.
- Collect market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, promotions and new launches.
- Handle consumer complaints, coordinate with Quality department and represent Britannia in the field.
Required profile
- Graduate degree.
- Strong competencies in market execution, business development, channel partner management, selling and negotiation.
