AP Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to join our finance team on an immediate basis. The role focuses on preparing, recording, verifying, analyzing, and reporting accounts payable transactions while supporting related financial reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, record, verify, analyze, and report on all accounts payable transactions, ensuring each entry is accurately captured in the accounting system.
• Maintain and reconcile both accounts payable and accounts receivable ledger accounts, aligning them with the overall financial statements and ensuring data integrity across reports.
• Conduct detailed analyses and reconciliations of bill runs, identifying discrepancies and potential fraudulent activities to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure strict adherence to transaction entry verification procedures, applying established controls to prevent errors and maintain compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial statements and related reports, providing accurate information for internal and external stakeholders.
