About the role

PhonePe is looking for an experienced Android Developer to join its fast‑moving product team. You will work on building and scaling the country’s largest transactional platform, creating secure, high‑performance mobile experiences for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications that serve a 50 million+ user base.
• Implement rapid, iterative development cycles while keeping security, stability, and automation in focus.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver customer‑centric features.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 5–9 years of full‑time Android app development experience.
• Strong passion for programming and problem‑solving.
• Solid system design and architecture skills specific to Android.
• Curiosity to explore new paradigms and a drive for continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Android SDK and core Android development.
• Kotlin programming language.
• MVVM architectural pattern.
• Data Binding, Dagger 2, LiveData, Room, WorkManager.
• Unit testing and instrumentation (E2E) testing.
• Experience building SDKs (optional but beneficial).
