Vice President, Software Engineering – Controllers (Bengaluru)

About the role

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Vice President in Software Engineering for its Controllers division in Bengaluru. The role focuses on building and maintaining critical software that supports the firm’s financial control, reporting and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement platforms, calculation engines and analytical tools used to compute profit & loss, capital, balance‑sheet and liquidity metrics.
• Develop software that automates regulatory filings and supports stress‑scenario reporting.
• Collaborate in small, agile teams to deliver high‑performance solutions that process billions of data points daily.
• Ensure that new business initiatives and acquisitions are incorporated in compliance with regulatory expectations.
• Provide metrics and analysis to leadership for strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with experience delivering large‑scale, high‑throughput financial applications.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, global agile environments.
• Interest in financial controls, risk management and regulatory reporting.
