U.S. Tax Manager (Ahmedabad)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced U.S. Tax Manager to join our Ahmedabad office on a full‑time, on‑site basis. The role offers end‑to‑end ownership of U.S. tax compliance, planning, and client relationship management for a diverse portfolio of individual and business clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file U.S. federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Develop and lead tax planning strategies to optimize liabilities while ensuring IRS and state compliance.
• Handle IRS notices, audits, and related correspondence.
• Manage multiple client accounts, delivering high‑quality and timely outputs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Review work, train, and mentor junior team members.
• Stay updated on U.S. tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as accounts, finance, and client service.

Required profile

• CPA (U.S.) and/or EA or CA with solid U.S. taxation experience.
• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in U.S. tax (individual and business).
• Strong knowledge of IRS codes and state tax laws.
• Proven ability to manage teams and client relationships.
• Excellent communication skills for direct interaction with U.S. clients.
