Unix & SQL Production Support Engineer (L2) – Walk‑in Interview

About the role

TCS is seeking experienced professionals for a Level‑2 Production Support position focused on Unix, SQL and Autosys. The role involves ensuring application stability, handling code deployments, and resolving production incidents for clients in Chennai.

Key responsibilities

• Provide application team support for code deployments and related issues.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and prepare executive summaries.
• Collaborate with product vendors and technical specialists to resolve complex problems.
• Apply fixes, patches and service packs, and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Monitor systems, manage Autosys job schedules and JIL scripts, and ensure batch processing reliability.

Required profile

• 4 to 8 years of experience in Unix and Oracle production support.
• Strong understanding of Oracle database concepts, backups, restores and performance tuning.
• Experience developing and deploying Autosys JILs and managing scheduled batches.
• Minimum 15 years of full‑time education with at least 50% marks in each academic level.
