Travel Counselor (Corporate Business Travel)

About the role

As a Travel Counselor you will join Amex GBT’s remote team to provide exceptional travel services to corporate business clients. You will advise, arrange and manage both individual and group travel, ensuring compliance with policies and delivering a high‑quality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and arrange domestic and international business travel for individuals and groups.
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, anticipating traveler needs and promoting additional services.
• Book air, road, rail, and accommodation using Global Distribution Systems (Sabre, Apollo, Galileo, Amadeus).
• Ensure compliance with customer travel policies, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide proactive telephone service, handling special requests and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with team members to coach, mentor, and improve service levels.

Required profile

• Passion for excellence in client service and proactive anticipation of needs.
• Professional written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and integrity in handling personal traveler information.
• Solid understanding of the travel industry, including business and leisure travel.
• Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and independently.
• Team‑oriented mindset with openness to feedback.
• Flexibility to work afternoon shifts (12‑8 pm) and weekends as part of a 24/7 operation.

Required skills

• Native expertise with Global Distribution Systems: Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus, Galileo.
