Team Leader - Community Engagement & Capacity Building

About the role

The National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) seeks a dynamic Team Leader to head its Community Engagement & Capacity Building (CEC) team in Hyderabad. You will guide a 20‑member team to deliver community‑based recovery plans, strengthen stakeholder partnerships, and ensure project outcomes align with donor and government expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and supervise a 20‑member CEC team, overseeing performance and delivery.
• Plan, coordinate and implement Community‑Based Recovery Plans (CBRPs) with active stakeholder participation.
• Develop and maintain institutional linkages with government agencies, development partners and community organisations.
• Ensure quality control of all project deliverables, meeting donor and organisational standards.
• Design and execute social mobilisation strategies to boost community ownership.
• Utilise monitoring and evaluation tools to track progress, analyse results and report to stakeholders.
• Facilitate capacity‑building sessions for community members and institutional partners.
• Manage conflict‑resolution processes among project participants.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for transparency and accountability.
• Identify opportunities for institutional development and long‑term sustainability.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in social sciences or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams in development or humanitarian projects.
• Strong understanding of community engagement, capacity building and social mobilisation.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences, including government and donors.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality results and fostering sustainable impact.
