Surveyor – QA/QC Precast Concrete

About the role

The Surveyor will lead quality assurance and control activities for precast concrete elements, ensuring compliance with design specifications, standards and client requirements throughout the production and erection phases.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve mix designs, material submittals and batch plant calibration records before casting.
• Witness and document all casting operations, including formwork inspection, rebar placement, cover verification and concrete pour.
• Conduct in‑process and final dimensional checks on precast elements against approved shop drawings.
• Monitor concrete curing regimes and verify temperature‑time logs.
• Witness sampling and testing of concrete cubes/cylinders and review test certificates from accredited laboratories.
• Inspect pre‑pour moulds, reinforcement, surface finish, raise NCRs and follow up corrective actions.
• Audit lifting, stacking, storage and transportation procedures to prevent damage.
• Review erection method statements and perform joint, connection and grouting inspections on‑site.
• Verify post‑tensioning/pre‑tensioning operations and stressing records where applicable.
• Compile weekly/monthly inspection reports, ITP sign‑offs and final quality dossiers for the client.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, at least 5 years in QA/QC of precast concrete structural elements.
• Proven experience on large‑scale precast building projects (residential, commercial or industrial).
• Familiarity with HSSE compliance and ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001 standards.
