Staff Engineer – CAT Test Manufacturing

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking a Staff Engineer for CAT Test Manufacturing to lead process optimization and production efficiency in its memory and storage facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve production targets for the assigned section using the 4M methodology (Man, Machine, Material, Method).
• Build, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and associates, driving KPI performance such as production output, cycle time, and WIP reduction.
• Conduct time‑and‑motion studies to establish process efficiency guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze and resolve manufacturing issues in real time to maintain flawless production flow.
• Develop and maintain process documentation in line with the company Quality Manual and industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Lead projects from concept to completion, adhering to timelines and budgets.
• Simplify manufacturing activities through automation and dashboard solutions.
• Support the introduction of new product technologies.
• Monitor daily WIP levels and enforce inventory control procedures.
• Assist with cycle counts, audits, and WIP inventory reconciliation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in semiconductor or related high‑tech environments.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proactive, innovative mindset.
