Software Engineer – Infrastructure (Hyderabad)

About the role

Notion is looking for an early‑career Software Engineer to join its Hyderabad Infrastructure team. You will help build and maintain the internal async task runner and configuration‑management platform that keep Notion’s product and infrastructure reliable for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the evolution of the async task runner, ensuring scalability and performance for over 100 million global users.
• Maintain and improve the configuration‑management platform used by product and infrastructure engineers.
• Debug live production systems, participate in on‑call rotations, and respond to incidents to restore service quickly.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to address emerging challenges.
• Collaborate with product engineers and other infra teams to align platforms with business needs.

Required profile

• Early‑career software developer with at least 1 year of professional experience.
• Strong interest in distributed systems and infrastructure engineering.
• Willingness to work on‑site on designated Anchor Days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) and participate in hybrid collaboration.

Required skills

• Experience with building or operating large‑scale backend services.
• Familiarity with debugging production systems and handling on‑call responsibilities.
• Ability to learn and integrate new technologies quickly.
