Software Engineer III – Cloud Platform

About the role

Google Cloud is looking for a Software Engineer III to build next‑generation technologies that power billions of users worldwide. You will join a fast‑moving team, work on critical projects, and have the flexibility to move across teams as the business evolves.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions for Google Cloud.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with multi‑team and cross‑functional stakeholders across geographies.
• Bring clarity and alignment to complex technical problems.
• Work closely with cross‑geo, multi‑timezone teams to ensure seamless delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of software development experience (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with data structures and algorithms in academic or industry settings.
• Strong background in software design.

Required skills

• Programming in Python, C++, Java/Kotlin, or Golang.
• Proficiency with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience designing scalable software systems.
