Software Engineer - Android Kotlin

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is looking for an experienced Android UI Developer to lead the creation of sophisticated user interfaces for Android Automotive OS applications. You will work with Jetpack Compose and help shape the UI strategy across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of complex UI components using Jetpack Compose.
• Drive adoption of the MVVM architectural pattern and best practices.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, UI architects, and product owners to ensure technical feasibility.
• Design and execute unit and UI testing strategies with JUnit, Espresso, and Compose testing.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and UI/UX issues.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews and pair programming.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of Android application development experience, focusing on UI.
• Deep knowledge of Jetpack Compose architecture and performance.
• Strong understanding of Android Jetpack components, especially ViewModel and StateFlow/SharedFlow.
• Proven ability to design comprehensive UI testing strategies.
• Expertise in Kotlin, particularly Coroutines.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
