Software Engineer - Android Kotlin

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Android UI Developer to lead the creation of complex user interfaces for Android Automotive OS applications. You will work closely with UX/UI designers, product owners and architects to deliver high‑quality, performant UI components using Jetpack Compose.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of complex UI components for Android Automotive OS using Jetpack Compose.
• Drive adoption of the MVVM architectural pattern and enforce best practices within the UI team.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, UI architects and product owners to ensure technical feasibility and optimal user experience.
• Design and implement comprehensive unit and UI testing strategies with JUnit, Espresso and Compose testing.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and UI/UX issues proactively.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews and pair programming.

Required profile

• 3 to 6 years of professional Android application development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Android development with a focus on UI.
• Jetpack Compose and its architecture.
• Android Jetpack components, especially ViewModel and StateFlow/SharedFlow.
• Kotlin programming, including Coroutines.
• MVVM architectural pattern.
• UI testing frameworks: JUnit, Espresso, Compose testing.
• Figma toolchain for extracting UI assets (optional).
