Senior WLAN Host Engineer

About the role

Qualcomm is seeking a Senior WLAN Host Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of Linux drivers for its Access Point System-on-Chip (AP SoC). The role involves close collaboration with hardware and software teams to deliver high‑performance wireless solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, unit‑test, and document Linux drivers for AP SoC.
• Bring up the driver on new hardware platforms and validate all features.
• Optimize driver performance for maximum throughput and stability.
• Analyze and fix bugs during product verification and address customer‑reported issues.
• Travel to customer sites for on‑site debugging and support.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in WLAN/Linux driver development.
• Strong programming skills in C and solid understanding of the Linux kernel and device drivers.
• Experience with networking components, Ethernet and wireless LAN drivers is preferred.
• Proven ability to solve complex system issues in high‑pressure environments.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel abroad.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field (or higher degree with relevant experience).
