Senior System Engineer – Application Owner

About the role

BASF is looking for a Senior System Engineer who will act as the Application Owner for Windows workplace applications. You will support global users, drive continuous improvement and collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance the digital workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Provide application ownership and support for Windows workplace tools, analysing incidents and delivering long‑term solutions.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Global License Management and other internal departments.
• Lead or contribute to cross‑functional and international projects.
• Coordinate external service providers, ensuring high quality and continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation by introducing new solutions and technologies with partners.
• Design, implement and optimise support and service processes, monitoring performance against SLAs.
• Prepare reports and initiate actions to maintain high user satisfaction.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a workplace or IT application environment.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a focus on user experience.
• Self‑starter attitude, able to work independently and motivated for continuous learning.
