Senior Software Engineer – Train IT Rolling Stock System

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Passenger Information System (PIS) team, developing real‑time information solutions for train rolling stock. You will work on modernising our Java‑based platform and delivering high‑quality features that improve passenger experience across multiple transport modes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications for passenger information systems.
• Upgrade the existing Java 8 codebase to Java 11+ and integrate the latest Angular UI framework.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure coding standards, and produce technical documentation.
• Manage project tasks using Agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, reviews, retrospectives) and adjust plans based on feedback.
• Collaborate with global teams, track priorities, and support occasional travel (10‑20%).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional Java development experience, preferably 5‑8 years in similar roles.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical abilities and excellent English communication.
• Experience with SIP protocol, gstreamer, and distributed systems.
