Senior Software Engineer – Java & Spring Boot

About the role

Mastercard’s Payment Networks team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance its customer‑experience strategy. You will work on cloud‑native, micro‑service solutions built on the Digital Network Architecture, applying modern Agile practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high‑quality Java 8+ code following SOLID principles.
• Build reusable, scalable micro‑services using Spring Boot and Event‑Driven Architecture.
• Operate in a CI/CD environment and leverage cloud platforms for deployment.
• Select appropriate persistence layers (RDBMS, NoSQL) based on business needs.
• Implement coding best practices and quality gates.
• Conduct proofs‑of‑concept to address emerging requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional Mastercard groups to ensure project success.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to an Agile team culture.

Required profile

• Strong passion for technology and deep object‑oriented design expertise.
• Extensive experience in product development and online/real‑time systems.
• Proven ability to work in CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑based environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
