Senior Manager - AI Core Services Development

About the role

We are seeking a senior technical manager to lead the AI Core Services Development team at AVEVA in Bangalore. The role will shape the vision, strategy and roadmap for our AI platform services, delivering secure, reliable and cloud‑native building blocks that enable AI adoption across our product portfolio and partner ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and oversee the architectural design of scalable, fault‑tolerant services on Microsoft Azure.
• Translate high‑level business requirements into actionable technical features and manage the platform backlog.
• Lead a Scrum team to deliver production‑grade AI capabilities, ensuring rapid prototyping and continuous improvement.
• Embed robust security controls and ensure compliance with data privacy, AI ethics and relevant regulations.
• Mentor and grow a high‑performing team of developers and testers, conduct performance reviews and support career development.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build AI model deployment, training pipelines and tooling.
• Identify and mitigate technical, operational and security risks associated with the platform.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing AI or cloud‑native platform teams in a senior or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of AI product development lifecycle and cloud services.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges.
• Commitment to responsible AI development and knowledge of relevant ethics frameworks.
