Senior Legal Contracts Manager

About the role

Paytm is looking for an experienced legal professional to join its Contracts team. You will manage legal and contractual matters across Paytm Money, Paytm Payment Services and the broader One97 ecosystem, identifying and mitigating legal risks.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize a wide range of agreements including banking alliances, corporate PSA’s, promotional, escrow, marketing, acquiring, distribution and EDC contracts.
• Resolve contractual issues with clients, partners, service providers and vendors.
• Collaborate with compliance, product, finance and business teams to implement special projects across all verticals.
• Provide end‑to‑end legal management of assigned transactions and advise on new e‑commerce and fintech business models.
• Identify risks in existing agreements and update templates to ensure compliance with IT, e‑commerce and privacy laws.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of end‑to‑end contract management experience, preferably in a law firm, in‑house legal team or fintech/banking sector.
• Law graduate (LL.B) from a top‑tier institute (National Law Schools, DU, ILS, Symbiosis).
• Strong legal acumen, excellent drafting skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
