Senior Intake Trainer – Healthcare Operations

About the role

The Learning & Development Specialist will support Cohere Health’s UM Service Operations team, which reviews prior‑authorization requests for health‑plan members. You will design and deliver training programs, onboard new hires, and collaborate with the Training & Quality department to improve staff performance.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate new‑hire onboarding and continuous training for Service Operations staff.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously refine training materials, job aids, and workflow documentation.
• Conduct judgment‑based quality audits and provide targeted coaching based on findings.
• Analyze training and quality data to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Report training outcomes, competency progression, and audit results to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners (Operations, Product, Clinical, Client Services) to align training and workflow expectations.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in US healthcare payer processes, including prior‑authorization and medical billing.
• 3+ years designing and delivering training curricula in a healthcare environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; strong knowledge of HIPAA and patient‑privacy regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to lead virtual training sessions.
