Senior Engineer – Localisation Project Management

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead localisation project management activities within its Bengaluru development centre. The role focuses on planning, executing and controlling projects that relocate or adapt manufacturing platforms, ensuring cost‑effective and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate investment requirements and technical capacity (TEK) for localisation projects.
• Administer product cost benchmarking and optimise logistics cost through Supply Chain Network Design (SCND).
• Develop business cases for platform and relocation projects following the BBM Process Compass.
• Implement SE‑Agile methodology for new projects and collaborate with the Simultaneous Engineering (SE) team while monitoring KPIs on resources, schedule, specifications, cost and budget.
• Create and maintain project management documentation according to the PS Process Compass.
• Design process flows, line concepts, conduct FMEA and apply lean manufacturing principles for new products.
• Plan and execute capital equipment acquisition, installation, pre‑acceptance, final acceptance and safe launch, and manage hand‑over for series production.
• Define technology fields, competence development plans and training frameworks for manufacturing processes.
• Establish RASIC matrices, improve collaboration with the International Production Network (IPN) and provide guidance on industrial best practices.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer with proven experience in localisation and manufacturing project management.
• Strong understanding of cost benchmarking, logistics optimisation and capital equipment deployment.
• Ability to work within cross‑functional teams and drive agile project delivery.
