Senior Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and operate data pipelines that ingest, normalize, and enrich legal and regulatory documents. The role focuses on building knowledge‑graph‑ready data assets that feed downstream AI and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate data ingestion and transformation pipelines for legal/regulatory content.
• Normalize heterogeneous source formats (XML, HTML, structured exports) using XSLT and related tools.
• Implement pipelines for embeddings generation, indexing, and enrichment for AI/RAG applications.
• Design and manage RDF‑based knowledge representations and SPARQL‑accessible datasets.
• Integrate storage and processing components across containerised/cloud environments.
• Support event‑driven or integration‑heavy workflows using Apache Camel, message brokers, and CloudEvents.
• Ensure reproducibility, maintainability, and smooth operational handover of data pipelines.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in regulatory or compliance domains.
• Hands‑on expertise with Python, Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes and containerised platforms.
• Experience processing legal documents while preserving semantic structure and provenance.
