Senior Contracts Engineer – Procurement & Management

About the role

The Senior Contracts Engineer will support the sourcing and management of critical contracts for the Procurement & Management (P&M) business. The role works closely with Category and Contracts Managers to develop demand profiles, select suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure contract execution aligns with corporate procurement strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing critical contracts in line with Category and Contracts Manager guidance.
• Develop demand profiles, specify sourcing events, and monitor technical and price evaluations.
• Prepare and release RFQs, study vendor offers, and create comparative statements for supplier selection.
• Negotiate and finalize pricing, set up agreements and SLAs, and issue purchase orders.
• Coordinate expediting, monitor post‑award contract performance, and manage change‑order processes.
• Maintain supplier relationships, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
• Utilise SAP and e‑auction tools to increase efficiency, control costs, and improve transparency.

Required profile

• B.Tech degree is mandatory; MBA or similar professional qualification is optional.
• Experience in construction, operation, or maintenance within manufacturing or exploration sites is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier performance monitoring.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP for procurement activities.
• Experience using e‑auction and reverse‑auction platforms.
