Senior Associate Lawyer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Senior Associate Lawyer to join VaRam Legal’s Chennai office. The role involves providing high-quality legal services across civil, commercial, IP, real-estate and corporate matters, working closely with partners and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and vet legal documents, pleadings, contracts and opinions.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis of statutes and case law.
• Represent clients before courts, tribunals and sub-registrar offices.
• Assist in registration processes and property due-diligence.
• Attend client meetings, provide counsel and support partners in case strategy.

Required profile

• LLB degree with 3-7 years of post-qualification experience as a practising lawyer.
• Enrollment with a Bar Council.
• Strong foundation in civil and commercial litigation.
• Proficiency in English; Tamil preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.

Required skills

• Legal drafting and research.
• Litigation and dispute resolution.
• Knowledge of real-estate documentation and transactional support.
• Familiarity with intellectual-property matters such as trademarks and copyrights.
