Senior Associate – Intellectual Property (IP)

About the role
We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our IP Prosecution practice, focusing on trademarks, copyright and designs. The role is client‑facing and offers end‑to‑end ownership of IP matters across India and internationally.
Key responsibilities
- Prosecute Indian and international trademarks, including Madrid filings
- Handle copyright and design registrations
- Conduct trademark and design searches and provide registrability advice
- Manage office actions, hearings and provisional refusals
- Perform IP audits and develop portfolio strategies
- Oversee post‑registration matters and IP recordals
- Coordinate with clients and manage matter timelines
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers
Required profile
- LL.B. from a recognised law school
- 3–5 years of IP prosecution experience
- Strong background in Indian trademark, copyright and design practice
- Exposure to international trademark matters, especially the Madrid system
- Excellent drafting, research and client communication abilities
- Capability to manage matters independently and supervise junior team members
