Senior Agentic AI Engineer

About the role

Join BASF Digital Hub Hyderabad as a Senior Agentic AI Engineer, where you will design and deliver cutting‑edge autonomous agents that power digital transformation for the chemical industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of the orchestration service and Agent‑to‑Agent bus, writing high‑performance Python code that routes thousands of requests per minute.
• Implement Horizon 3/4 autonomous agents using LangGraph or AutoGen on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Integrate Databricks Unity Catalog with the agent runtime to provide real‑time, governed business data.
• Optimize latency, token cost and distributed state for long‑running agentic workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews and enforce Zero‑Trust security standards.
• Develop and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools for SAP, ServiceNow and other enterprise APIs.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with production‑grade Python experience.
• Proficiency in asynchronous programming, concurrency and containerised deployments.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker.
• Deep knowledge of agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph or Semantic Kernel.
• Practical experience with Azure AI services and Databricks.
