Senior Accountant – Accounting Operations & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations and deliver accurate financial reporting for our Ambattur office. The role involves close coordination with internal teams, auditors, banks and vendors to ensure compliance and timely financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Handle GST, TDS, PF, ESI and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Oversee invoicing, payments, receipts and expense verification.
• Conduct regular ledger scrutiny and ensure accurate accounting entries.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare MIS reports and provide financial insights to management.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables, ensuring timely follow‑up.
• Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Guide and review work of junior accounting team members.
• Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and applicable regulations.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Experience supervising junior staff and reviewing their work.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Tally, ERP or other accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and basic reporting.
• Bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny, AP/AR processing and financial reporting.
