Safety Manager – Process Safety Management (PMD PT)

About the role

The Safety Manager (PMD PT) will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Process Safety Management (PSM) and the related Operating Management System (OMS) across the site. The role involves guiding teams, conducting audits, delivering training, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance on PSM and OMS implementation and support self‑verification of process safety elements.
• Identify and resolve gaps found during self‑verification, HSE audits, and third‑party audits.
• Deliver training on process safety topics and lead incident investigations for process safety incidents.
• Review incident investigation reports, monitor recommendation implementation, and ensure standards and procedures are up‑to‑date and accessible.
• Analyze leading and lagging safety performance indicators and advise department and site leadership on improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with other process safety managers, central safety groups, and Centre of Excellence teams to align improvement activities.
• Lead risk‑management studies (PHA, LOPA, SIS) and develop barrier management standards for assigned technologies.

Required profile

• B.E. in Chemical, Petro‑Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or related field.
• Post‑graduate diploma in industrial safety (PDIS) preferred.
• 9–12 years of experience in operations and safety within an industrial environment.

Required skills

• Process Safety Management (PSM) and Operating Management System (OMS) expertise.
• Risk assessment techniques such as PHA, LOPA, and SIS.
• Incident investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• Conducting and reporting safety audits.
• Development of safety standards, procedures, and barrier management.
