Safety Manager I – Fulfillment Center

About the role

The Site WHS Manager partners with the operations team of an Amazon Fulfillment Center to implement safety policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and create a safe, healthful environment for associates.

Key responsibilities

• Execute company safety policies and maintain compliance with local and regional regulations.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects using lean principles and kaizen to reduce conditional and ergonomic risks.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyse safety data to guide decision‑making.
• Communicate safety expectations, provide feedback, and coach the safety team (Specialists, Coordinators, First‑Aid Associates).
• Measure site performance against safety standards, identify deficiencies, and develop corrective action plans.
• Deliver on‑time safety projects and analyse weekly/monthly incident trends to allocate resources effectively.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety.
• Thorough knowledge of local/regional regulations and corporate safety policies.
• Proven ability to build trust with operations leaders and influence change.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience training operational leaders on safety standards.
• Background in lean methodology and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
