Rooms Trainer

About the role

The Rooms Trainer supports Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad’s commitment to caring for people and delivering service excellence. Working closely with the Training Manager, this role helps develop and maintain training programmes for the Front Office and Housekeeping teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing and updating the Front Office and Housekeeping training plans and make recommendations.
• Identify training needs in collaboration with Front Office and Housekeeping Heads of Department.
• Coordinate and monitor the hotel’s overall training calendar.
• Help compile and review departmental operations manuals.
• Monitor departmental standards as defined in the operations manuals.
• Ensure the security, maintenance, and availability of the training room, equipment, and materials.
• Advise the Training Manager on new support material for Front Office and Housekeeping.
• Support the development and updating of School of Hospitality tasks and records for both departments.
• Help ensure departmental trainers meet the required quota.
• Plan, implement, and monitor general/core and management training programmes in partnership with the Training Manager.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in hospitality management or equivalent hotel operations experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in Front Office or Housekeeping, preferably with training or supervisory exposure.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities to deliver engaging training sessions.
• Coaching, mentoring and motivational skills for diverse teams.
• Attention to detail, adaptability and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with hotel management systems and knowledge of industry standards.
• Passion for service excellence and continuous improvement.
