Reliability & Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Reliability & Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring optimal performance and availability of all refrigeration, power backup, and electrical systems across the facility. This role involves proactive maintenance, rapid fault resolution, and continuous monitoring to support the cold‑chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) for refrigeration units, including tropical, chilled, and frozen rooms.
• Monitor and maintain temperature parameters in accordance with SOPs and respond to temperature excursions.
• Inspect and service compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and refrigerant piping; perform leak detection and refrigerant level checks.
• Maintain defrost cycles, drain lines, and insulation integrity of cold rooms.
• Coordinate with OEMs and third‑party service providers for specialized repairs and annual contracts.
• Diagnose and resolve refrigeration faults, electrical and control system issues in PLCs, BMS, and panels.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring failures.
• Maintain diesel generators and UPS systems, including fuel, coolant, battery health, load‑bank testing, and firmware updates.
• Perform insulation resistance, earth resistance testing, and thermography surveys on all electrical distribution equipment.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance and maintenance reports, including MTBF, MTTR, and energy consumption analysis.
