About the role
Cavitak, a technology distribution company headquartered in Ahmedabad, is seeking a proactive Purchase Specialist. You will be responsible for negotiating with vendors, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support our operations across India.
Key responsibilities
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, service levels, delivery commitments, and contracts with suppliers.
- Expand and develop a robust vendor network across multiple categories.
- Secure optimal deals while maintaining quality and schedule requirements.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and evaluate new suppliers and market options.
- Coordinate with internal teams to guarantee uninterrupted material availability.
- Address delivery delays, quality issues, and billing disputes promptly.
- Monitor market price trends, new suppliers, and emerging alternatives.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or purchase functions.
- Strong negotiation and persuasive communication abilities.
- Proven vendor development and competitive sourcing experience.
- Commercially sharp with excellent cost comparison and analysis skills.
- Effective problem‑solving, coordination, and multitasking capabilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Knowledge of SAP (advantageous).
