Purchase Specialist

About the role

Cavitak, a technology distribution company headquartered in Ahmedabad, is seeking a proactive Purchase Specialist. You will be responsible for negotiating with vendors, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support our operations across India.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, service levels, delivery commitments, and contracts with suppliers.
• Expand and develop a robust vendor network across multiple categories.
• Secure optimal deals while maintaining quality and schedule requirements.
• Conduct competitive benchmarking and evaluate new suppliers and market options.
• Coordinate with internal teams to guarantee uninterrupted material availability.
• Address delivery delays, quality issues, and billing disputes promptly.
• Monitor market price trends, new suppliers, and emerging alternatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or purchase functions.
• Strong negotiation and persuasive communication abilities.
• Proven vendor development and competitive sourcing experience.
• Commercially sharp with excellent cost comparison and analysis skills.
• Effective problem‑solving, coordination, and multitasking capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Knowledge of SAP (advantageous).
