Project Cost Controller – French Speaker

About the role

This position supports project cost management by establishing and maintaining cost control systems, primarily using EcoSys. The successful candidate will track spending, prepare cost reports, analyse variances and keep financial data such as budgets, forecasts and cash flows up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project controls procedures and standards.
• Coordinate EcoSys implementation, deliver user training and provide ongoing support.
• Track, analyse and report project expenditures against budgets and forecasts, producing monthly cost reports, variance analyses and dashboards.
• Maintain accurate records of budgets, actual costs, forecasts, accruals and cash‑flow projections.
• Collaborate with project managers, discipline leads and procurement to update forecasts, evaluate change orders and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support contract management and invoicing by reviewing invoices, monitoring accruals and providing cost‑related insights.
• Participate in project meetings to deliver controls updates and ensure compliance with internal standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of cost‑control experience, preferably on major EPCM projects.
• Bilingual French and English.
• Ability to work across multiple time zones (UK, Canada, USA) and in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
