Procurement Specialist – Raw Materials

About the role

DuPont is seeking a Procurement Specialist to source and manage raw materials essential for production. You will ensure uninterrupted supply, maintain quality standards, and support cost‑effective purchasing across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials and consumables according to production needs.
• Manage the full procurement cycle: vendor identification, RFQs, negotiations, purchase order creation, and follow‑ups.
• Coordinate with R&D, Production, QA/QC, and Stores for material planning.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain a reliable vendor base; evaluate supplier performance.
• Ensure materials meet quality, specification, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels, support demand planning, and optimize stock.
• Track market trends, price fluctuations, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain procurement records, documentation, and MIS reports.
• Support audits and compliance related to procurement documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in raw material procurement.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
• Understanding of procurement processes, inventory planning, and documentation.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Zoho or SAP.
