Procurement Specialist – Aviation Fuel

About the role

Qatar Airways is looking for a Procurement Specialist focused on Aviation Fuel to join its Global Business Services hub in Ahmedabad, India. You will manage end‑to‑end procurement activities for the Aviation Fuel category, ensuring alignment with the category strategy and the company’s financial and operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement activities in line with the Category Plan and user‑department timelines.
• Lead stakeholder management throughout the procurement process, from requirement gathering to contract award.
• Identify and propose cost‑saving opportunities to reduce total spend.
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with suppliers and monitor their performance.
• Conduct market research to source new suppliers and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal user queries, project requests, and data needs.
• Develop savings solutions, benchmark industry standards, and recommend process improvements to shorten RFQ cycles.
• Ensure procurement of goods and services follows an open, fair tender process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of procurement experience, preferably in aviation or fuel.
• Strong analytical ability and business‑finance acumen.
• Excellent negotiation, flexibility, and time‑management skills.
