Principal Security Engineer

About the role

Sarvam is building a sovereign AI platform for India and seeks a hands‑on security leader to define strategy, secure AI infrastructure and drive product security. This senior position will own security architecture, threat modeling and vulnerability remediation for AI products and cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve Sarvam AI’s end‑to‑end security strategy and design secure architectures for products and APIs.
• Lead threat modeling and own application/API security, including authentication, access control and data isolation.
• Set up processes to discover, remediate and verify vulnerabilities across infrastructure, and conduct red‑team and adversarial testing.
• Secure cloud infrastructure, IAM and secrets management, and embed security checks into CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience securing enterprise and BFSI/Fintech infrastructure.
• Active participation in Capture‑the‑Flag competitions covering web, crypto, binary exploitation.
• Experience with bug bounty programs, particularly private programs for fintech, cloud or infrastructure companies.

Required skills

• Threat modeling and risk assessment for AI and fintech systems.
• Vulnerability discovery, remediation and verification.
• Red‑team and adversarial testing.
• Cloud security, including IAM and secrets management.
• Embedding security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
