Packaging Operator

About the role

The Packaging Operator is responsible for ensuring that products are packaged efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves operating and maintaining packaging machinery, performing quality checks, and handling materials throughout the production process.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, calibrate, and operate packaging machinery according to company standards.
• Inspect final products, seals, labels, and packaging materials to verify compliance with quality and safety specifications.
• Perform routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Complete production documentation, including logs and reports on output and any issues encountered.
• Follow all safety protocols (e.g., OSHA) and keep the workspace clean and organized.
• Manage inventory of packaging materials and move finished products to designated storage areas.

Required profile

• Strong manual dexterity for repetitive handling and sorting tasks.
• Technical aptitude with the ability to learn and operate automated machinery.
• High attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling and packing.
• Physical stamina for standing long periods and moving products.
• Effective communication skills for teamwork and reporting issues.
