Multi-Equipment Operator – Crane, Cherry Picker & Forklift

About the role

APM Terminals Pipavav is seeking a Multi-Equipment Operator to safely handle a range of lifting and material‑handling equipment at its Gujarat port facility. The role supports workshop and operational activities, ensuring smooth movement of goods while adhering to strict safety and HSSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate cherry picker, Farana/mobile crane, and forklift for lifting, shifting, and positioning of materials and equipment.
• Conduct pre‑start and routine inspections to verify equipment readiness.
• Report mechanical issues, defects, or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate logbooks, checklists, and usage records.
• Assist the workshop team with minor maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support operational teams during breakdowns, maintenance windows, and project activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 12th Pass or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License authorising operation of lifting equipment.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience operating cherry pickers, Farana/mobile cranes and forklifts.
• Mandatory medical fitness certificate confirming fitness for heavy machinery, work at heights, good eyesight and coordination.
