Mechanical Maintenance – Level II

About the role

This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting manufacturing equipment to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance. Working with limited supervision, the technician applies technical knowledge to mechanical, electrical, and electro‑mechanical systems while following Cummins’ safety, quality, and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental policies, use PPE, and apply LOTO procedures.
• Perform preventive, predictive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on CNC machines, Fanuc controllers, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, cooling towers, and gauging systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair machine drives, ball screws, and control systems.
• Execute maintenance activities according to technical drawings, manuals and specifications, and conduct quality inspections.
• Schedule maintenance aligned with production needs, keep work areas clean, and support downtime analysis.
• Participate in Total Productive Maintenance and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and support teams, communicating issues and status updates.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent technical certification.
• Additional technical training in mechanical, electrical or maintenance disciplines is preferred.
• Ability to work with limited guidance and follow strict safety and quality procedures.
• May require licensing for export‑control or regulatory compliance.
