Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Gasifier M2

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will ensure the reliability and integrity of all mechanical equipment in the plant, focusing on the Gasifier M2 unit. The role involves planning, executing, and supervising predictive and preventive maintenance activities while adhering to safety policies and budget constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day mechanical maintenance following established policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in coordination with Production, Technology, and CES teams.
• Create resourcing plans for routine maintenance and scheduled shutdowns.
• Collect mechanical performance data, monitor KPIs, and report deviations to senior maintenance leadership.
• Manage inventory control for mechanical spares, approve stock plans, and coordinate procurement with vendors.
• Assist in preparing maintenance cost estimates, budgeting, and cost‑analysis to ensure efficient resource use.
• Supervise and execute maintenance tasks, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Analyze equipment condition, identify irregularities, and implement corrective actions to improve availability.
• Carry out preservation activities and oversee shutdown jobs according to schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial plant environment.
• Familiarity with predictive and preventive maintenance methodologies.
• Ability to develop maintenance schedules and resource plans.
• Experience monitoring performance metrics and preparing KPI reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and spare‑parts procurement processes.
• Understanding of budgeting and cost‑control for maintenance activities.
• Commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
