Mechanical Engineer Level II – HVAC Design

About the role

Worley is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Level II to join its multidisciplinary team and deliver complex HVAC projects for a range of sectors. You will work closely with architects, structural engineers and other MEP disciplines to create integrated, data‑centric solutions that meet sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform heat‑load calculations, equipment sizing, duct and pipe routing, and shaft sizing using HAP, Revit and AutoCAD.
• Prepare detailed HVAC design drawings, schematics and technical specifications while ensuring compliance with ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NFPA, NBC and local codes.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines, review shop drawings, and produce BOQs, technical reports and design presentations for client approval.
• Incorporate green‑building principles, conduct feasibility studies, and validate designs through simulations and performance analysis.
• Support value‑engineering exercises, optimize energy efficiency, and contribute to PUE optimization and free‑cooling strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent postgraduate qualification).
• 10–12 years of experience in HVAC design for residential, commercial, hospitality, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NFPA and local building codes.
• Excellent analytical, communication and coordination abilities.
