Material Planner – Engineer/Executive

About the role

We are looking for an Engineer/Executive Material Planner to manage and optimise material supply for our hydraulic and electric drive business. You will work closely with suppliers, production planners and plant teams to ensure seamless material flow and meet customer delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and optimise long‑term material plans based on market forecasts, consumption and capacity, coordinating with suppliers for material preparation and capacity reservation.
• Plan and order material from suppliers, monitor implementation to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Perform daily checks on past‑due and missing parts to avoid production impact and meet customer on‑time delivery targets.
• Coordinate with plants to handle unqualified material, expedite inspections, and manage internal material transfers while communicating with production planners.
• Control material inventory to meet KPI requirements.
• Lead material‑related projects to optimise the supply chain and improve supplier delivery performance.
• Manage logistical supplier activities, including onboarding, KPI tracking, bottleneck support and annual alignment on logistics parameters (SA, EDI, TLV, etc.).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Trade or Logistics.
• 3‑4 years of experience in material and supplier planning.
• Strong analytical and continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Open personality, team spirit and proactive communication.

• MRP II / SAP (MM module)
• Lean logistics and Pull System concepts (Kanban, Supermarket)
• MS Office proficiency
