Manufacturing Quality Engineer

About the role

Posha is a fast‑growing robotics startup building production‑grade consumer kitchen robots. As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer you will define and enforce quality standards across all hardware subsystems and work directly with our contract manufacturers in China.

Key responsibilities

• Own quality assurance and control for sheet‑metal chassis, plastics, PCBA, induction/thermal, camera and optomechanical subsystems from development through production.
• Define inspection requirements, tolerances, control plans, AQL sampling, first‑article inspection (FAI) and PPAP acceptance criteria for each part.
• Manage non‑conformance dispositions end‑to‑end, including root‑cause analysis, corrective actions and supplier follow‑up.
• Work on the factory floor in Shenzhen/Dongguan with contract manufacturers to set up repeatable quality processes.
• Partner with engineering and sourcing teams to qualify new suppliers and drive continuous improvement programs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on manufacturing quality experience in a hardware product company.
• Proven ability to work directly with suppliers, not just perform inspection.
• Willingness to spend extended periods on site in China.
• Comfortable challenging vendors technically and driving resolutions.
