Maintenance Technician – Hotel Property

About the role

The Sequoia Hotel is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to ensure the property remains safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and residents. You will handle a broad range of preventative, emergency, cosmetic, and routine maintenance tasks while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and respond to work orders, following up with residents and management as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep schedules up to date.
• Carry out cosmetic and routine upkeep throughout the hotel and its units.
• Prepare units for new move‑ins, conduct move‑in and move‑out inspections, and meet turnover deadlines.
• Conduct quarterly inspections alongside the Property Manager.
• Repair and troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and masonry issues.
• Coordinate, schedule, and oversee vendor work when required.
• Provide on‑call emergency coverage for off‑shift and weekend periods.

Required profile

• Ability to work on‑call and reliable personal transportation.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills; fluency in English (bilingual a plus).
• Strong time‑management abilities.
• Minimum two years of experience performing similar maintenance tasks in an apartment or comparable setting.
• Knowledge of REAC or other regulatory inspections is a plus.
