Maintenance Mechanic – Mechanical Maintenance Team

About the role

You will join the mechanical maintenance team responsible for the full lifecycle of plant equipment, from installation to preventive upkeep. The role focuses on ensuring reliable operation of machinery in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, assemble and commission new machines and equipment.
• Plan and execute routine inspections, servicing and testing of machinery.
• Respond to emergency or unscheduled breakdowns, diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs.
• Fabricate and install replacement parts using machine‑shop tools and power tools.
• Create and close SAP maintenance work orders, log all activities and record reasons for failures.
• Prepare and maintain spare‑part lists, critical part inventories and equipment assembly drawings.
• Apply 5S, QMS, EMS, OSHAS and EnMS procedures and follow LOTO safety guidelines.
• Perform laser alignment, vibration analysis and generate condition‑monitoring reports.
• Train contractual staff and promote innovative ideas to reduce downtime.

Required profile

• ITI Fitter qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing unit.
• Hands‑on experience with computerized maintenance systems, preferably SAP.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and SOPs.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
