Legal & Statutory Executive – Compliance & Contracts

About the role

The Legal & Statutory Executive will lead the organization’s statutory compliance, legal documentation and regulatory filing activities. Reporting to the Finance & Accounting Manager, the role ensures adherence to Indian laws, mitigates legal risks and supports smooth contract onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end GST and TDS filings, payments and related notices.
• Execute ROC filings, maintain statutory registers and prepare Annual Performance Reports.
• Process GST refund applications and generate Reverse Charge Mechanism invoices.
• Conduct ledger scrutiny for GST/TDS, track statutory notices and ensure timely responses.
• Oversee ISO compliance documentation and internal audit trails.
• Review, finalize and maintain customer onboarding contracts, NDAs, MSAs and company‑wide legal agreements.
• Maintain a central contract repository and coordinate with external legal consultants.
• Handle vendor registration, trademark compliance and draft demand letters for accounts receivable.
• Maintain statutory registers, compliance trackers and governance dashboards for audit readiness.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in legal and statutory compliance within India.
• Proven track record handling GST, TDS, ROC and other regulatory filings.
• Strong understanding of Indian statutory and legal frameworks.
• Ability to manage multiple compliance timelines and respond to notices and audits.
• High attention to detail and strong coordination skills.
